Arthritis
Arthritis is a medical condition that involves inflammation of one or more joints in the body, resulting in pain, stiffness, and limited mobility. There are several types of arthritis, but the most common ones are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that occurs due to wear and tear on the joint over time. It can affect any joint in the body, but commonly affects the knees, hips, hands, and spine.
Rheumatoid
Rheumatoid arthritis, on the other hand, is an autoimmune disease that causes the body’s immune system to attack the joints, resulting in inflammation and damage. It typically affects the hands, wrists, and feet, but can also affect other joints in the body.
Other types of arthritis
Other types of arthritis include gout, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and lupus arthritis. Treatment options for arthritis depend on the type and severity of the condition, but may include medication, physical therapy, exercise, and surgery.
